Organic Coke…With a Suprising Twist

April 4th, 2012

Back in 2008 Coca- Cola presented a fictional proto-type called “Organic Coke.” This was just a design, created to start conversation and analyze the use of “going green” as a form of marketing.

Not to much surprise, many people loved the idea and it is now being considered for production! With Coca-Cola being originally marketed as a health drink, it makes sense they move into the direction of producing the beverage from organic ingredients.

No more impostor Coca-Cola catering to the worlds desire for calorie-free sugars and artificial flavorings, this will be completely natural and organic. But take this into consideration: producing this all-natural soda, can actually make you gain weight!

You Have A Better Chance Of Getting Struck By Lightning…

March 30th, 2012

With this being the largest lottery jackpot in world history, it’s no wonder my Facebook news feed is blowing up with comments of people buying their “winning” lotto ticket.

Well guys, I hate to burst your bubble but because of the enormous size of this jackpot, the odds of winning are 1 in 176 MILLION!

You are more likely to get struck by lightning or die from flesh-eating bacteria!

With that being said, I wish you all the best of luck! Can’t wait to see who actually wins this!

Miley Cyrus Engaged Already!

The rumors have been started, as this young star was spotted over the weekend wearing a very large and sparkly diamond engagement ring!

Miley even tweeted a photo of this ring last week, but didn’t mention anything about marriage.

So, what do you think is Miley engaged to the new Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth?

How Do You Like Your Eggs?

March 21st, 2012

Being an avid breakfast eater, eggs are one of my favorite things to eat in the morning! They are the perfect protein to get your day started on the right foot. However, before cracking the eggs open on your hot frying pan, you must first buy the carton of eggs from your local grocer. The question that’s been floating around lately has been determining the difference between free-range eggs and conventional.

So what is the difference? Well, true fee-range eggs are from hens that are able roam on the pasture outdoors, they eat a natural diet and live a normal life. The commercial egg factories house thousands of hens and at times it can reach to hundreds of thousands! The hens are confined to small cages and are not given the ability to roam at all. Many of the hens become prone to skeletal problems, as they have no room to even stretch.

The vast majority of eggs that are sold in major market chains come from these commercial factories. As you can probably guess, the free-range eggs are much more nutritious for you with 1/3 less cholesterol, ¼ less saturated fat, 2/3 more vitamin A, 2 times more moega-3 fats, 3 times more vitamin E, and 7 times more beta carotene. With this knowledge, support your organic farms, and eat a healthier breakfast with free-range eggs!

Organically Styled!

March 16th, 2012

H&M is a great, and very versatile brand. The company, and brand is known worldwide with over 2, 300 stores in 43 different countries. With this type of global reach it is truly amazing the message they are sending out with the new line they are introducing into their stores this April.

This new line is called their “Exclusive Conscious” collection, which is inspired by red carpet-ready looks, however the clothing line is eco-friendly. All of the clothing in this line is made from sustainable material such as hemp, recycled paper and organic cotton.

Many of the already existing organic clothing retailers have a great product, but their style isn’t exactly what many of us are looking for. H&M has combined the best of both worlds, and now we can be conscious of our environment while being stylish! Way to go H&M!
