Oh, How Things Have Changed!

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

It truly doesn’t feel like 10 years have passed since 2002, but so much has changed since then!

I found the picture in this blog randomly, and felt like I needed to share it with you all, as it is extremely and ironically true!

With the new technology we’re loving today, how do you suppose we’ll feel towards it in ten years?

Use Your iPhone To Take Professional Pictures!

Monday, July 18th, 2011

The iPhone has made such an impact on cell phone technology over the past few years. It was the first of its kind to have a touchscreen along with many other impressive capabilities. Today we are seeing many different phones very similar to the iPhone with most of the same features.

One capability however, that no other phone can admit to having is the new attachment that all iPhone owners can buy to enhance their photography right through their phone. Now you can add an SLR Lens Mount to your iPhone 4 and get amazing photos without having to go out and purchase an entire professional camera! Nikon and Cannon are expecting to start the shipments for these awesome gadgets sometime this August.

This SLR Lens will not only conveniently fit onto your iPhone but it will also come with a tri-pod, and even a special UV filter to make any photos you take that much better! I definitely see this attachment as a great optional improvement to an already impeccable cell phone. It seems like every week I am hearing about some new technology coming out, I can’t wait to hear what’s next!

Technology Lives On Through You

Although a bit dreary, I have an update upon my findings of yet another creative use for QR codes. These little codes are so versatile; you can literally put them anywhere, and that’s exactly what Yoav Medan of Israel did when his mother passed away.

Upon her tombstone he included the engraving of a QR code that will allow visitors to link to a tribute website. This idea is brilliant in that it gives any family member or visitor the ability today, next year or even 20 years from now to view this tribute website that’s filled with information and pictures about his mothers life. Something such as this will live on for generations!

The man who made this tombstone has plans to start a business out of it and that he should! I guarantee we will be seeing these more and more, its personal and it keeps the memories alive of those who have passed. The creator of this is on to something that will spread quickly. I appreciate his ability to think outside the box! He took something already created and applied it to a part of life many of us would never consider. Now, the memories of loved ones will truly live on forever…

3..2..1…And Two Years Later…

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

Thinking back to the days when we were kids, I am sure many of us can remember being asked, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” The usual answers when your young fall into occupations that most of us will never pursue. However one common answer in particular that I know all of us have at least wondered what the profession must be like, is being an astronaut.

Of course there are dozens of qualifications that first must be met first before becoming an astronaut, but after finally getting the title you are put through an extensive 2-year training period. Learning everything from oceanography to parachute jumping, astronauts during this period are constantly studying on how to be prepared for the day when they get to actually take off. Once chosen for a flight you will have 10 months of additional training before the flight even takes place. What amazes me is in addition to all the trainings and all the school and preparation, you are still required to have two years of practice to accomplish a single task up in space. Two years of preparation to ensure one task is completed properly!

What an accomplishment that must feel like! Astronauts show just how important it really is to be committed in order to ensure perfection in whatever it is you set your mind to. From all the successful NASA missions, its obvious all the hard work truly pays off in the end. Although many of us will never become an astronaut, it is beneficial to use their example of dedication as a form of motivation for us all. Imagine if you applied that mentality to any of the passions in your life, you will be guaranteed to become a master in that field and create an abundance of wealth, happiness and prosperity.
