Feeling Unlucky?

Friday, August 17th, 2012

Ever have those days where your luck just seems to be non-existent and everything that could go wrong does? Well, it just so happens you and everyone on the planet is extremely lucky!

The very first thing you ever did started your life on a path for luck. Did you know you were that one sperm out of 300 million to make it when you were created? That’s right! Women have hundreds of eggs, and men have millions upon millions of sperm, and it just so happened you were in the right place at the right time to fertilize that one egg, which ended up being you!

Think about how lucky we are out of the millions of sperm to be that one that ends up getting a chance at life! That also means millions were not so lucky, so the next time your feeling down on your luck, think again!

75% Longer and 25% Faster

How many times have you really pushed yourself, I mean really pushed yourself? Did you accomplish your goal? My bet is yes, but not only did you accomplish your goal, you exceeded it far beyond your expectations…

Yesterday I went for a run, and as well today. However, I ran for much longer and faster today than I did yesterday. Why? Nothing had really changed, except for today I had worn my Garmin watch, which gauges and tracks my exercise progress.

While I was running I noticed how far I had gone, and at what speed. This motivated me to pick up the pace and push myself harder even though I was ready to quit a few times due to lack of sleep the night before. I had only an idea of how far I’d gone, but had no way of tracking or checking my results. With the ability to see my progress, I increased my endurance and pushed myself significantly harder to run longer.

It then dawned on me that measuring progress in any activity be it your business, school or even relationships will help you to not only succeed, but it will motivate, inspire and push you to really accomplish your goals!

So, the next time you start a project make sure you have a measuring stick in place to gauge your progress for success. Trust me, it’ll be much easier to see your growth.

The Power of Referrals…

Wednesday, August 1st, 2012

As I was at my reflexology appointment this weekend, I began to think of how I was referred to her and in the midst of my thoughts a strong realization dawned over me.

I am sure many of you have doctors, therapists, hair stylists, etc that stemmed from a referral of a friend or colleague. Take a look at how my tree of referrals formed….

Kim, my manicurist introduced me to → Crystal, my hairstylist
Crystal introduced me to → Dr. Phin, my Chiropractor
Dr. Phin introduced me to → Dennis, my massage therapist
Dennis then introduced me to → Linda, my reflexologist

All of these individuals were referred to me by another business professional that did not receive any sort of compensation! That truly impresses me, and also shows just how important and powerful direct sales really is. You refer people to products and/or services every day and get compensated for the number of people you refer!

Share your thoughts and referral stories; I’d love to hear them!

Find Out Which Dog Breeds Attract Men To Women!

Monday, June 18th, 2012

Did you know the type of dog you have could deter or attract certain people? A recent study done by Kloof (a mobile app for dog lovers) concluded the top breed that attracts men to women is the Golden Retriever! The runner up breeds included Labrador Retrievers, Chihuahuas, Poodles, and Beagles.

What’s even more interesting is the stereotype associated with the owner of a specific breed. For women, if you own a Chihuahua, men often assume the woman is “dumb” or “easy. However, a woman may tend to find that men who own Pit Bull’s are “sketchy” or “sleazy”, whereas a man who owns as German Shepherd or Siberian Husky are seen as being “masculine.”
